What’s the first vehicle you think of when you hear the word “Chevrolet?” If you’re like most consumers, it’s probably a truck. Specifically, it would be the Silverado half-ton pickup. That’s for good reason. Chevrolet has established itself as the premier provider of full-size pickups in the North American market despite what our friends at Ford have to say about it.
So, you know Chevy is the best option for trucks, but what about crossovers? The crossover has suddenly become the “flavor du jour” at the time of this writing. Everyone wants to get into a compact type crossover and automakers are scrambling to release the latest and greatest models in this vein.
Chevy has a compact crossover on the market known as the Equinox. Heard of it? If not, you’re about to learn a lot about the Equinox. It’s a solid performer that comes with a wide variety of features, technology, and options. It’s especially heavy on tech, which is probably good news to your ears.
After all, most consumers want their vehicles loaded up with the latest and greatest tech options. That’s why Chevrolet ensures that every trim in the Equinox lineup is well equipped with premium tech features. That includes the latest safety tech options, some of which you won’t find on compact crossovers from any other brand.
Here’s an idea:

The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is part of the third generation of this SUV model, which got a styling update for this year. The car has more distinct headlamps, new bumpers on the front and back, and an updated grille. The Rally Sport (RS) trim level is also new to this year’s model, which comes with black exterior style designs and 19-inch black wheels. The RS model interior also comes with red stitching on its upholstery to make it even more stylish. The 2022 Equinox also dropped optional performance features to simplify the lineup and make the 170-horsepower turbo-four the only engine available. Still, this engine is plenty powerful and efficient. You also still get to upgrade to an all-wheel-drive model if you desire, and the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox abounds with many other desirable features.
The Chevrolet Equinox arrived on the scene in 2005. The Equinox was the automaker’s foray into the crossover market and proved to be very successful.
Seeking to sustain the sales momentum, Chevy increased engine power in the 2007 Equinox and introduced an electronic stability control system for the vehicle.
The second generation of the Equinox was released in 2010. This model offered 4 cylinder and V6 engine options.
The Equinox would not be completely redesigned again until 2018.
