The Colorado’s cockpit may still sport the classic design of the second-generation model, but the cabin continues to be one of the most spacious in the segment.
Bucket seats come standard on all variants, but the seat trim varies. The WT gets vinyl, cloth on the LT, leatherette/cloth on the Z71, and full leather on the ZR2.
All units come with front USB ports, a front center console, front and rear carpeted floor mats, and a rear folding bench seat.
The entry-level LT has a polyurethane steering wheel without controls. The rest of the lineup uses a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel.

Currently, all 2022 Chevrolet Colorados are offered with three gasoline engines. A 2.8L Duramax diesel engine is available as an option.
The WT comes with a 2.5L 4-cylinder Ecotec engine, which has been improved to lower engine noise and reduce vibration while improving fuel consumption and low-end torque. Output is 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque.
The rest of the lineup has the 3.6L V6 High Feature engine. It comes with a reshaped cylinder head and integrated exhaust manifold for increased power and performance. This engine option produces 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque.
A 2.8L Duramax turbodiesel engine is available as an option for the LT, Z71, and ZR2. It puts out 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
The 2.5L gasoline engine and the 2.8L diesel engine are paired to a Hydra-Matic 6L50 six-speed automatic transmission, while the 3.6L gasoline engine uses a Hydra-Matic 8L45 eight-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel consumption of the 2.5L gasoline engine is 22 mpg in combined conditions. The 3.6L gasoline engine returned 19 mpg, and the 2.8L turbodiesel picked up 22 mpg.
