Performance
The Encore GX provides its occupants with a mostly smooth ride and great fuel economy. You can also upgrade to the optional 1.3-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 155 horsepower. The GX base engine gets 29 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. You won’t be disappointed by this dynamic SUV. Its impressive handling is great for maneuvering in small spaces and has confident braking.
The Trailblazer offers the same engines and fuel economy as the GX, but critics found that it was underpowered and when trying to accelerate to 60 mph it took nearly 10 seconds. Also, the transmission wasn’t as smooth when shifting.
Safety Features
